The Bennington Township Planning Commission Meeting was held on July 30, 2020.
Chair Russ Thomas called the meeting to order at 7:01 pm at the Township Hall.
Members Present: Russ Thomas, Donna Ash, Bill Nash, Frank Gregory, Larry Johnson and Dick Demerly. Absent Jim Norder.
Moved by Frank Gregory to approve the meeting agenda. Seconded by Dick Demerly. Motion carried.
Moved by Larry Johnson to approve the minutes of the June 25, 2020 meeting. Seconded by Dick Demerly. Motion carried.

Moved by Larry Johnson to approve the Variance Application Request #PZBA008 by Robin Lyon of 1218 S. Shiawassee St., Owosso, MI 48867. Site Location is 1378 W. Garrison, Owosso, MI 48867; Tax ID# 010-11-400-02; Section 11, Bennington Township. Request is to permit the construction of an accessory structure with a sidewall height which exceeds the maximum height requirement for residential accessory structures located in the front yard. Seconded by Bill Nash. Motion carried.
Moved by Larry Johnson to approve the Land Division # PLD20-0020 by Benjamin Stevens of 7737 Woodbury Rd, Laingsburg, MI 48848. Site Location is 5701 Brewer Rd, Laingsburg, MI 48848. Property owner is Carolyn E. Stevens of same address. Parent Parcel is # 010-19-100-001-01 in Bennington Township. Seconded by Dick Demerly. Motion carried.
Moved by Russ Thomas to approve Jim Norder for an additional 3 year term to the Bennington Township Planning Commission Board. Seconded by Frank Gregory. Motion carried.
