The Bennington Township Planning Commission Meeting was held on June 27, 2019.
Chair Russ Thomas called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm at the Township Hall.
Members Present: Russ Thomas, Donna Ash, Bill Nash, Frank Gregory, Jim Norder and Dick Demerly. Absent Larry Johnson.
Moved by Frank Gregory to approve the meeting agenda. Seconded by Bill Nash. Motion carried.
Moved by Dick Demerly to approve the minutes for the May 30, 2019 meeting. Seconded by Frank Gregory. Motion carried.

The Board discussed the Proposed Ordinance Amendments to Article 16 of the Shiawassee County Zoning Ordinance. No action taken.
Moved by Frank Gregory to approve Application Request #PREZ19-02 as a Special Use Permit rather than a rezoning application to change the rezoning of a parcel from A-2 (Agricultural Production Rural Residential) to M-1 (Light Industrial). Site location is the Northwest corner of Tyrrell Road and M-52, Owosso, MI 48867. Tax ID# 010-33-200-003-04, Section 33, Bennington Township. Seconded by Jim Norder. Motion carried.
Moved by Frank Gregory to approve Variance Application Request # PZBA19-015, by Michael Mankey, subject to a letter of approval from the local Forrest Hills Lake Association. Site Location is 5030 Lake Dr., Owosso, MI 48867; Tax ID# 010-44-014-001, Section 14, Bennington Township. Seconded by Bill Nash. Motion carried.
Moved by Larry Johnson to approve Variance Request #PZBA 19-019 by Don Horton. Owners are Rebecca & Debohah Ropp. Site location is 1955 W. Hibbard Road, Owosso, MI 48867; Tax ID# 78-010-03-200-001-03; Section 3, Bennington Township. Seconded by Bill Nash. Motion carried.
Moved by Bill Nash to approve Variance Application Request #PZBA19-018 by Anthony Wyzga. Owners are Edward & Sylvia Hachenske Trust. Site Location is 4851 Apache Path, Owosso, MI 48867; Tax ID# 010-52-053-000, Section 52, Bennington Township. Seconded by Russ Thomas. Motion carried.
