The Bennington Township regular meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on February 6, 2024, 7:00pm, at the Township Hall.
Present: Jim Forsythe, Matt Dutcher, Lee Ash, Cody Baker, Donna Ash.
Forsythe moved to approve the agenda as printed. Second by Dutcher. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the minutes for the January 2, 2024 regular meeting as printed. Second by Baker. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to approve the Treasurer’s report as presented. Second by Forsythe. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to pay bills as presented in the amount of $24,433.84. Second by Dutcher. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Public Comment:
Garber – County Commissioner update.
Board Reports:
Library – Garber – VMD & Associates contracted to do the audit.
Plan Comm – D. Ash – Reviewed chapters 2 and 3 of the Master Plan update. 2024 Meeting Dates were set to generally the last Tuesday of the month. Reappointment of two members.
Roads – L. Ash – Roads projects for 2024 will cost approximately $203,000, this will need to budgeted for the new fiscal year.

New Business:
Audit Contract – Forsythe moved to accept and authorize signature for the contract from VMD & Associates, PLLC at a cost of $5,900 to do the audit for 2023-2024 fiscal year. Second by Baker. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
2024-2025 Meeting Dates – Dutcher moved to approve the 2024 – 2025 regular meeting dates as the first Monday of each month, at 7:00pm, at the Township Hall except for September when the meeting will be on the following Tuesday. Second by L. Ash. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Budget Changes – Dutcher moved to amend the 2023-2024 budget Election Department by transferring $2600 into Stamps 101-191-730.000 and $400 into Election Misc & Schooling 101-191-730.00 from Capital Outlay 101-191-970.000. Second by Baker. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to amend the 2023-2024 budget ARPR Department by transferring $100 into Supplies 101-272-727.000 and $2000 into Repair & Maintenance 101-272-930.000 from Capital Outlay 101-272-970.000. Second by Dutcher. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
2024-2025 Budget – Presented to board for review for the next meeting and then approval at the budget hearing.
Budget Hearing – Forsythe moved to hold the Budget Hearing on March 4, 2024 immediately following the regular board meeting on March 4, 2024 at 7:00pm at the Township Hall. Second by Baker. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to adjourn. Second by L. Ash. Motion carried.
