December 4, 2023
The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called order by Supervisor Lee Ash on December 4, 2023, 7:00pm, at the Township Hall.
Present: Jim Forsythe, Matt Dutcher, Lee Ash, Cody Baker, Donna Ash.
Forsythe moved to approve the agenda as presented. Second by Dutcher. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the minutes for the November 6, 2023 regular board meeting as printed. Second by L. Ash. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented. Second by Forsythe. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to pay bills as presented in the amount of $14,276.63. Second by Dutcher. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Public Comment:
Co Comm Garber updated the board on County activities including that the new Veterans Facility is up and running and going well.
Board Reports:
Library – Garber – Working on budget for next year.
Plan Comm – D. Ash – Working on updating Master Plan.
Roads – L. Ash – Working on potential 2024 projects.
Old Business:
Ambulance Contracts- Dutcher moved to contract with SSESA to cover Ambulance Service on the North side of the Township at $110 per household at which time MMR will no longer provide service. Second by Forsythe. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
New Business:
Burnham & Flower – Insurance Renewal – Forsythe moved to accept the bid request from Burnham & Flower Agency, Inc. to renew the insurance for the Township at a cost of $8,180.00. Second by L. Ash. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Public Comment:
Resident asked about the brush removal along Morrice. Consumers Energy is currently cleaning brush from their lines.
Forsythe moved to adjourn. Second by L. Ash. Motion carried.
